Editor’s Note: I struggled with keeping this blog neutral in order to gain more sales. But when good people are silent only the howls of hatred are heard. Screw that.
People are searching for ways to make sense of the elections and hearts are hurting so badly. I want my art to be a force of change in the world. We need healing so badly as we move forward. We know that social services to vulnerable populations will be cut as the Republicans gut our civil liberties. Increases in hate crimes show the normalization of fear politics. We need to reach out and become the change, the good, the humanity we want to see in the world. Do the thing that will bring more grace into the world.
To help with this effort, a portion of each sale will go to three charities and you can help me pick them. There is a poll below that I would really like you to complete. There is a variety of organizations from local food banks to international relief agencies. All are doing worthy work and I look to your help in making the decision.
Please make your selection of the organization that you want Ravenna Relics to support in 2017.
We will donate a portion of each sale to the three organizations with the most votes by midnight, December 31, 2016.
